Early spring eventing success for Ardeo horses

The Eventing Ireland season started with a 2.30am start heading to Tyrella Horse Trials in Northern Ireland with 3 horses on board. Wolf Artic cruised into 6th in the EI100 with Melanie Wrynn.

Salt, as he is affectionately known, then upgraded to 2 star level at Clyda, down in Cork, completing his first EI110 with ease. We were so pleased with him, jumping a foot perfect double clear and galloping around a testing track into 6th place.

As the season has progressed Salt has gone from strength to strength, to finish 2nd in the EI110 on a dressage score of 88.5%, from list 3 judge David Lee, followed by another super double clear. Salt has become a real pet to all who know him.

Our 148cm FEI potential event pony led the dressage at virtually every event to date, despite competing against all the top professionals with their smart horses, showing how competitive he is on the flat. He led from start to finish to take the win at Tyrella (2). The Irish Field celHbrated his win in the event report, which we are sure will be the start of many articles on this superstar.

He jumped a double clear to finish on his dressage score at both Tyrella(3) and Crecora(1) where he finished in 3rd place. He is so safe and straightforwards – lucky is the young person who gets the ride on this little guy.

Ardeo Brigadier has been completing his qualification rounds at EI110 in preperation for the CCIYH2*-L at Tattersalls International Horse Trials & Country Fair.
He has been jumping amazingly well, just taking it steady around the XC, in preparation for his international debut in a few weeks.
